Use Red Dot Polyol Ester Refrigerant Oil in R-134a vehicle AC systems with self contained, electrified compressors. The oil is specially formulated to meet the unique needs of these modern compressors and has excellent insulating properties. Electric compressors use either a high voltage supply or a high amperage supply which the oil insulates from the compressors housing. Regular compressor oils do not provide any insulating properties. NEVER MIX WITH OTHER OILS AS THAT MAY CREATE A HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD. Always replace the receiver/drier when replacing a compressor.
